Chris married Shelley nearly 22 years ago, and they have one son, Grayson. They have been coming to Epic for about 8 years now. He is a veterinarian who met Jesus in his early childhood and was baptized here at Epic in Feb 2015. Chris enjoys all things apologetics, spending time with his family, occasionally being able to golf, and of course helping people navigate through Financial Peace University. Having been in financial bondage himself and now experiencing financial peace, he is eager to help others share in this experience.
Mike Van De Voorde
Mike and His wife Emily have been a part of the Epic Family for five years. They have two amazing daughters Ruthie and Allie. Mike is excited to have the opportunity to co-lead Financial Peace University because he knows it works! Once overwhelmed by debt and the stress of just getting by, Mike used a Christmas gift card to purchase Dave Ramsey’s book Total Money Makeover and he and Emily followed Dave’s Principles to become debt free (except for their home). Mike looks forward to helping others find financial peace.
Come join with other ladies as we take time to visit, pray together, and have the opportunity to discuss the messages that are shared on Sundays at Epic. We will be meeting online, so feel free to get comfy, pull up a laundry basket, some crocheting or other type of hand craft, a cup of tea or a snack as we take some time to share about our week and pray for each other.

Focus: "No More Excuses" by Tony Evans
In this 8-week course, we will be exploring examples of men of God throughout the Bible. This study will challenge you to lay down your excuses, stop compromising, and fight to be a man of character and commitment. Despite your setbacks, failures, and pressures, you can still find purpose, meaning, and direction in life and become the man God has called you to be.
Meets: Tuesday 6:30-8:00pm @ Epic Church
Dates: February 2 - March 23
Facilitators: Jerry Dietzel and Damon Hummel
Jerry and his wife Susan have been married for 38 years and part of the Epic Family for four years. They have two daughters, both married, and four grandchildren. Jerry is excited to lead the "No More Excuses" men’s Bible study. He felt God laid it on his heart a few months ago to do something to encourage other men through this pandemic and help them to stay strong and be Godly leaders through the challenges they face each day. For the past five weeks, a group of eight men has met at Jerry’s home on Sunday mornings to share the blessings of fellowship, encouragement and accountability, and he is looking forward to giving more men this opportunity. Please join Jerry and Damon Hummel on Tuesday nights as they go through this 8-week bible study. Make sure to check out the promotional video.
Damon and his wife Angela have been attending Epic Church for over a year and a half with their three children: Addison (11), Jackson (10), and Alexandria (7). Damon teaches high school Industrial Arts and coached football, wrestling and track & field. After participating in Alpha, Jerry asked Damon to be a part of "No Excuses" by Tony Evans which Damon found to be a great experience, learning about what God wants out of us men. Damon really looks forward to hosting this bible study with Jerry.
In this Connect Group, we will be building community as we get to know one another and digging deeper into the messages from Sundays and how to apply them to our lives.

I've had the honor of being part of the Epic Church family since the beginning (10 years now!) and I'm so grateful to be part of such an amazing leadership team. Several things that bring me great joy: hiking, exploring new places, traveling, kayaking, reading, time with my neighbors, enjoying coffee with friends...but most importantly, walking through the journey of life in a personal relationship with Jesus. I believe wholeheartedly that Jesus makes all the difference in the world!

Mike and Emily have been married for 23 years and have two daughters, Ruthie and Allie. Their favorite thing to do with their family is spending time outdoors. They enjoy camping, hiking and bike riding. If they can't be outdoors, they like to play games and watch movies. They came to Epic a little over 5 years ago out of the need to be a part of a church in their community and Epic quickly became their church home! They are looking forward to the chance to connect, and dig a little deeper into the Sunday messages in this 6 week group.
