Melanie Birky
Director of Spiritual Formation and Connections
Melanie Birky serves as the Director of Spiritual Formation and Connections at Epic Church. In this role, she helps people find belonging within the church family and grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus. She loves “getting people in the game” of truly loving, following, and obeying Him—moving beyond head knowledge into real, personal connection with God.
Melanie and her family began attending Epic two years ago after moving to the area just before adopting their twin daughters from South Korea. During that season, Seth prayed they would find a church where their daughters would feel peace and comfort. Epic was the first church they attended in person—and the first where their daughter didn’t cry through the service. They quickly knew they had found home.
Melanie stepped into her role after sensing clear confirmation from God through both personal prompting and church leadership. She now loves walking alongside people who are hungry for more of Jesus, helping them discover their gifts, connect in meaningful community, and experience transformation from the inside out.
“There’s nothing better than when God shows up in a way only He can,” Melanie says. “I love seeing people experience Him in real and personal ways.”
Melanie lives in Osceola with her husband Seth and their three children, Kai, Rei, and Wren. She loves challenging her fitness. She's a world champion in martial arts, has completed a Half Ironman, and recently finished her first 100-mile bike ride. She also enjoys traveling, organizing, brunch dates with Seth, and a good nap.
Be sure to connect with Melanie at Epic—she would love to hear your story and walk with you as you grow in your faith.
